REGISTERED NURSE - POST-ANAESTHESIA CARE UNIT (PACU)
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced full time Level 1 PACU Nurse to join our team at Canberra Microsurgery.

Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA nursing registration
- Current Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia registration
- PACU RN experience of minimum 2 years with exceptional clinical skills, capable of handling emergencies.
- Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards
- Effective time management and excellent written & verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Competent computer skills in a Windows based environment
- Flexibility with rostering and commitment to shifts.
- Enthusiastic approach to flexible work practices.
- Adaptable to work both independently and collaboratively.
Job Tasks and Responsibilities
- Administer PACU RN duties safely and effectively to patients in the day surgery environment
- Treat pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms of anaesthesia and administer medication as prescribed
- Regularly check vital signs to quickly intercept any potential issues and ensure a smooth recovery
- Effective utilisation of human and material resources (perioperative instrumentation and equipment) to deliver high standard of care.
- Actively contribute and participate in quality Improvement activities
- Maintain constant awareness of safety requirements to prevent injury to patients and staff
- Establish and maintain effective communication with greater health care team
- Commit to self-development and continuing professional development
